Have yet to find an pleasant way to bleed brakes. Has to be my least favorite maintenance responsibility.... but then.... it is a step above changing diapers.CCjonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16417345400369951250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208027712659472082.post-56678394664545629892017-06-21T16:17:15.782-05:002017-06-21T16:17:15.782-05:00I've never had good luck with the hand vacuum ...I've never had good luck with the hand vacuum pump bleeders. I usually resort to the old method of one person pumping on the pedal/lever and another with a wrench (and hose) on the bleed screw.RichardMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04773834892715980735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208027712659472082.post-72628711682263843842017-06-21T14:38:05.128-05:002017-06-21T14:38:05.128-05:00At the USCA Rally in Corning next month, there wil...At the USCA Rally in Corning next month, there will be an opportunity to weigh each wheel independently. Will be interesting to find out the total and individual weight.

At first I was not sure which and what brake calipers I had, so was reluctant to order bleeders.

Once I ordered speed bleeders for a Gen 1 KLR. When I upgraded KLR's, I discovered they don't fit the Gen 2 KLR. My neighbor helps me when bleeding brakes. We have done it so many times we have a routine and rhythm. Good neighbors are priceless.

CCjonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16417345400369951250noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8208027712659472082.post-47438292359054970832017-06-21T10:00:56.519-05:002017-06-21T10:00:56.519-05:00Quite the setup in the making CCjon, glad you foun...Quite the setup in the making CCjon, glad you found the fuel level reporting issue. I'll be curious to see what your rig's wet weight will be when all is said and done.

Have you considered using speedbleeders on your brakes to make them easier to bleed when needed?redlegsrideshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10927757855921321097noreply@blogger.com
